Let's just say I was a tall, lengthy, awkward middle school girl whose only valentine present came from her mama. While everyone else got roses, balloons, chocolates, and teddy bears; this girl went home to cry.
As I grew older I turned into a Valentine's Day cynic. I was convinced that Valentine's day was just another day for greeting card companies to make money and force women to put high expectations on their significant other. (you don't want to get me started)
Turns out, I NOW have my very own life sized chocolate teddy bear who brings me flowers. ;)
So I decided that this year I would turn the tables and make Valentine's day all about the Mr.
Not because I want anything from him in return, but because I want to love and respect him. I want to take this stereotypical day and turn it into a new pursuit for my man.
I asked my bloggy BFF, Jess at JMNway, to join in with me and help keep me accountable to truly pursuing my Mr. from Feb. 1 - Feb. 14th. Our plan is to go out of our way to love our husbands these 14 days.
To write them notes, bake them cookies, cook them their favorite meals, serve them, wait on them, surprise them.... You get the idea.
My Challenge to you is to JOIN US!! I know, this isn't giving you much time to prepare.. BUT please consider turning the tables and making this Valentine's Day all about your MR.
